DISCLAIMER: In the mid 90's the late Paul Moyer had a vision for a website that would serve the community of Broadalbin, including the First Presbyterian Church of Broadalbin at which he was the pastor. In 1999 community members Paula and Dave Wallin-Eddy were approached by Rev Moyer to create a website and, after discussions with Rev Moyer and the session, Broadalbin.org went live as the official website of the First Presbyterian Church of Broadalbin. In 2005 Rev Moyer retired and a new pastor, Rev Linda Martin, was hired in October of 2005 and, in November 2005, the church decided there was not any need to continue with Rev Moyers vision. The Wallin-Eddy's received official notice from the clerk of the session on December 8, 2005 that the chruch had voted to suspend the newsletter and the website thusly they wanted to discontinue the website. So to be clear, since November of 2005 this has not been officially affiliated with the First Presbyterian Church of Broadalbin and has been kept for those who wish to learn about the churches history, to read archived sermons and newsletters, view images and to search the Presbyterian Cemetery in Vail Mills. Rest assured that behind the scenes there have been changes in the works to move broadalbin.org back to what Rev Moyer's vision originally was - that of a community service.
